This facility at Dempster Park is home to two successful and long-established local sports clubs; a junior football team and a cricket club.

A simple enough brief: to connect the existing change room and social club buildings, add some additional facilities and improve the environmental sustainability of the site.

The real challenge: how to simultaneously upgrade the quality of the spaces and facilities for the clubs and other community users within the budget (ie add value to the asset) while alleviating some of the unfriendly ‘bunker’ characteristics that often plague such robust, vandal-proofed buildings.
